Description

Waterford.org is searching for a dynamic Director of Curriculum Operations to support the planning and execution of our Curriculum and Instruction Department's work! This pivotal role to support developing high-quality content for preschool and elementary learners, combines elements of executive assistance, chief of staff duties, and operational management. We're seeking an individual with exceptional organizational prowess, strong communication skills, and a dedication to our mission! As the orchestrator of curriculum, art, and efficacy work efforts, you'll collaborate with leaders, manage outsourced work, oversee and ensure alignment with organizational strategic priorities.

This unique position requires a deep understanding of the development, curriculum, research, and art teams and the ability to bring teams together to accomplish goals. This leader will have a proven record of collaboration and successful implementation management in the field of education and must be committed to equity in education with the ability to use these values to ensure that the curriculum represents and is accessible to all children. Your leadership serving as the Executive Director of the National Early Learning Advisory Council will elevate and promote equity. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to provide high-level administrative support to the EVP of Curriculum and Research, including calendar management, meeting coordination, social media posts, travel arrangements, and correspondence.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to streamline departmental operations and enhance productivity.
  • Prepare and edit reports and other documents for internal and external partners.
  • Develop agendas for weekly leadership meetings, quarterly department meetings, project kick-offs, tracking progress and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Act as a liaison between the EVP, other departmental teammates and external partners.
  • Monitor budget and expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate logistics for departmental events, workshops, and conferences, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to timelines and within budget and scope.
  • Manage key projects and initiatives within the Curriculum and Research Department, from conception to completion, ensuring that deliverables are met on time.
  • Supervise operations team members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their professional growth and effectiveness.
  • Continuously champions, promotes, and advances diversity, equity, and inclusion through all related job functions.
  • Commitment to collaborating on and contributing to organizational DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) mission, beliefs, values, and goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including motivating and inspiring team members to achieve their full potential, preferably in an educational or research environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Aha, Air Table, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, Excel and other relevant software applications
  • Experience with budget management.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Preferred Master's Degree in Education or Business Management
  • Preferred SCRUM Master or PMP certification

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate paying between $110,000 - $120,000 for this full time position based on the education, experience and skill level of the individual we hire. In addition to your base salary Waterford has an annual bonus program. We offer a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid primary premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering.
