As of December 31, 2023, Waterfall approximately $12.6 billion in assets under management. Summer Analyst Objectives As an intern at Waterfall, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of investment management . During the 10-week summer internship program, we will surround you with challenging projects and opportunities to grow as an investor. We’ll help connect you with mentors and a network of colleagues throughout the firm that will help you develop your professional skills and support you during your time at Waterfall. The internship begins with a firm orientation and robust training program, where summer analysts will be trained in cash flow modeling, bond math, and the fundamentals of structured finance and corporate credit markets. As a summer analyst you will have the opportunity to rotate through two-to-three of Waterfall’s various investment strategies, gaining transaction experience and a thorough understanding of each. Summer Analysts Opportunities: Two 4-week rotations across the firm’s various investment verticals, including:Structured Lending (Private Credit),CRE Lending,CRE Equity,ABS/CMBS/RMBS Trading,Residential Whole Loan Trading,HY Corporate Credit Trading.Work with senior portfolio managers and investment teams on all aspects of the investment process, including conducting due diligence, transaction modeling, underwriting, investment memo creation, and trade or deal execution.As a final project, present an investment opportunity from a list of live, real-time opportunities with a full transaction underwrite to the firm’s Investment Committee (including firm Partners and Managing Partners) Qualifications and Education RequirementsYou are pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026Minimum 3.75 GPAStrong analytical & quantitative skillsKnowledge of finance & capital markets and have an interest in financeAbility to perform in a dynamic, rapidly changing environmentStrong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter with the ability to multi-task and drive projects to completionMotivated, passionate, team player that displays future leadership capabilitiesExcellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlinesExperience with coding languages, preferred not required
