As of December 31, 2023, Waterfall approximately $12.6 billion in assets under management. Job Description We are looking for an individual to lead our CRE Loans team. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with a proven track record of sourcing, managing, and disposing CRE loans. The ideal candidate will have a deep network of broker, bank, and owner/operator relationships and extensive experience underwriting and managing all property types in various geographies. The Head of CRE Loans will play a crucial role in driving business growth, managing existing client relationships, and identifying new opportunities within the CRE space. Specific job responsibilities include:Lead team to originate and acquire investments across all property types and marketsOversee credit underwriting and asset management Maintain and manage relationships with borrowers, brokers and vendorsLead quarterly portfolio reviews Work closely with CMBS and CRE equity teams to determine relative value across asset classes Qualifications and Education Requirements10 years of experience in loan acquisitions, investment banking or brokerageProven track record of leading team, executing transactions, and managing portfolio of performing and non-performing loansExperience negotiating and executing loan workoutsExperience with CRE Research/Modeling tools: Argus, CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, etc.Experience in geographies outside of US preferred but not requiredExperience with Equity acquisitions preferred but not required
