We are most interested in adding to our team Early Childhood Professionals to our childcare team who have:

• High School Diploma
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility strongly preferred

Qualifications:

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency including background check
• Previous assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program working with infants and toddlers
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
• Work well in a co-teacher classroom with shared responsibilities of all classroom duties.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Understand, participate, and support quality standards as defined by Water Lily Learning Center, SUTQ, and EHS
• Rotate among classrooms and provide teaching and support and coverage for teachers.
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom.
• Participate in all activities with children in daycare
• Assist with activity planning and preparation of materials and supplies for daily use for infants and toddlers.
• Support Lead Teacher with capturing observation information and for assessment information to assist with implementation of lesson plans to advance a child’s development of infant and toddler.
• Complete all daycare tasks assigned in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
• Utilize best practices and positive discipline techniques with children, to support children’s growth and understanding of self and others and promote resilience.
• Be familiar and adhere to Water Lily Learning, Vision, Mission, and Beliefs and Code of Ethics
• Be familiar and adhere to all standards and policies set forth by Water Lily Learning Center
• Responsible for obtaining required training hours and maintaining educational credentials to be employed in a daycare setting.
• Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child.

Pay:

• $10.00/Hour -$15.00/Hour
