Job Title: Nurse Manager

Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager plays a pivotal role in the provision of high-quality patient care and the efficient operation of the Client Care Department. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities including patient care, staff management, administrative tasks, and collaboration with various healthcare disciplines. The Nurse Manager reports directly to the Director of Client Care and assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care and Education:

· Provide comprehensive care to clients, addressing both medical and psychiatric needs.

Administrative Duties:

· Assist the Director of Client Care in managing the Nursing Department, including medication storage, inventory management, and ordering supplies.

· Ensure adherence to nursing policies and procedures by staff members.

· Coordinate staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.

Staff Supervision and Support:

· Provide direct supervision to nursing staff, including nurses and subordinate personnel.

· Offer additional training and assistance to staff members when necessary.

· Address and resolve nursing department issues and concerns.

Medication Management:

· Oversee medication returns and destruction, and handle pharmacy-related issues.

· Complete prior authorizations for medications and ensure timely delivery of long-acting injectables.

Task Delegation and Coordination:

· Create daily task lists and assign duties to staff members.

· Ensure all doctors’ orders are checked and delegated appropriately.

Problem-Solving and Collaboration:

· Serve as a resource for staff members, assisting in problem-solving and patient care issues.

· Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to achieve positive patient outcomes.

House Coverage and Rotation:

· Act as house coverage when required, maintaining continuity of care.

Qualifications:

· Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in PA.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate staff.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,242.07 - $71,345.28 per year
