Watch Me Shine is seeking full-time OR part-time data entry specialist to help support with various administrative tasks

Summary

The data entry specialist is responsible for handling, entering, and managing data for a variety of departments. The data entry specialist will perform data handling functions with efficiency and speed, while maintaining top quality. This role will primarily be focused on data entry, however, may provide lift in other areas to include filing, organizing, and other office support tasks.

Essential Functions

Include the following:

• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems
• Accuracy is a must
• Audit and input student data from daily notes
• Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents
• Create charts and spreadsheets to summarize data
• Create systems to report student progress to teachers
• Update existing data
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Qualifications:

• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Track record of success in data entry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Basic understanding of databases
• Great attention to detail and time management
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred.
