We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operators to join the team at Heart of Florida Landfill in Lake Panasoffkee, FL .
Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge, but willing to train the right candidate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed
Spreading and compacting trash using a Compactor
Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
Excavating soil using an Excavator
Hauling soil
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT :
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Experience driving forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck
Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility
Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
