Washington State Stem Education Foundation is Hiring a Program Coordinator (PT) Near Richland, WA

The STEM Foundation engages the Mid-Columbia region’s top leaders from business, labor, K-12, higher education and the community at large in initiatives to advance STEM education and career-connected learning opportunities.

Summary: The STEM Foundation (WashingtonSTEMeducation.org) is growing and looking for an enterprising individual who is seeking a new adventure and wants to help build a growing organization. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can thrive in a fast-paced environment where you may have to wear several hats. This position encourages your creativity and vision and brings meaning to your efforts!

Hours/Schedule: Great hours (most within local school schedule) plus OFF most of the summer and school holidays. At certain times of the year, workload can fluctuate between 20 per week up to 30 per week. Must be available during core office hours (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) Monday-Thursday and available to work occasional non-core hours when needed. Office is located in Richland, WA. Hybrid office/work from home option will be considered.

Job Duties:

  • Manage innovative STEM programs and activities
  • Recruit, train and place volunteers
  • Monitor for quality control on communication materials and present work to Senior Program Manager for final approval
  • Support ongoing development and revision of materials
  • Coordinate and gather data as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office
  • Great organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to plan and prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and use professional judgment
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with internal and external contacts
  • Recommendations that confirm dependability, time management, accuracy and quality work
  • WSP background clearance
  • Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Degree preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Limited travel may be required for workshops or meeting attendance. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech and vision are necessary to perform the position’s essential functions.

HOURLY RATE:

$20-$24 Hourly/Depending on qualifications
