Washington State Prison is Hiring a Behavioral Health Counselor I Near Davisboro, GA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Professional to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Professional, you will work with individuals with developmental disabilities to provide support and assistance in achieving their behavioral health goals. Your role will involve implementing behavior plans, conducting assessments, and providing therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement behavior plans based on individual needs and goals
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans

- Provide direct patient care, including individual and group therapy sessions
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive behavior change
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide crisis intervention as needed

Skills:

- Familiarity with special education principles and strategies
- Proficient in data collection and analysis techniques
- Experience in conducting group therapy sessions
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Excellent patient care skills, including empathy and active listening
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong crisis intervention skills
