About the Division:

The Property Management Division (PMD) is responsible for providing comprehensive facilities management through the capital and operating budget process. The Property Management Division falls within the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau and consists of three sections, the Facilities Section, the Fleet Section, and the Supply Section.

Duties

About the Position:
This position installs and removes radio communications, electronic equipment, mobile data systems, mobile video systems, emergency lighting systems, and other related safety equipment used in Washington State Patrol vehicles. This position acts in a Lead capacity and assists the Law Enforcement Communications Supervisor with training, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work of Law Enforcement Equipment Technicians. This provides quality control, monitors production, and ensures deadlines are met.
Our new teammate will be able to:

  • Leads, trains, and provides technical guidance to Law Enforcement Equipment technicians.
  • Programming, testing equipment, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Works independently using detailed plans and personal judgement to assemble components using hand and power tools.
  • Interacts with supervisor, customers and vendors to schedule and perform work.
  • Receives, inspect, and prepare vehicles for reissue or sale.
  • Assist supervisor with assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work of Law Enforcement Equipment Technicians.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school completion (or equivalent GED)
  • Four years of experience with automotive/electrical installation, service, and repair
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license
