**Overview**

Shelbys Sugar Shop is a sweet curation by Washington Prime Group. Shelbys Sugar Shop is a colorful, curious and dynamic environment that will delight children and adults alike.

The Store Manager, Shelbys Sugar Shop is responsible for the overall execution of the brand/guest experience, retail operations and sales performance of their respective store. The Store Manager has a customer-first mindset, loves engaging with guests and takes great pride telling the brand story through the execution of designed merchandising and marketing strategies. They effectively lead, manage, develop and inspire a store team/individual associates to drive an overall positive brand/guest experience that drives conversion, encourages repeat visitation and meets/exceeds sales plans. This role demonstrates enthusiasm for servicing customers is proficient in sales and selling tactics. The Store Manager is responsible for execution: customer experience, driving sales, hiring/managing/developing talent, managing payroll controls, facilitating product inventory and floorset execution excellence. The Store Manager serves as a role model for their associates. The three overarching responsibilities of the Store Manager are: Talent, Brand and Capability.

**Talent**

* Sources, recruits, interviews and hires for all open positions. Anticipates openings and fills open roles timely

* Partners with Local Property Management to post all open roles on property website job board

* Maintains a pipeline of applications for future hiring needs

* Conducts effective on-boarding and hands-on training for all new hires

* Coaches store team on Shelbys safety, service model, selling behaviors and cashwrap experience, inclusive of POS system

* Coaches, develops and performance manages associates

* Writes, facilitates and executes annual performance reviews

**Brand**

* Executes all daily cleaning and housekeeping standards

* Proactively plans floorset activity (i.e. space planning, product readiness, collateral organization and schedules)

* Execute Activation Guides / Floorsets as directed: Windows, Easel, Interior Visual Merchandising, POS and Display

* Translates visual merchandising direction based on individual floor plan and fixture assortment

* Executes all Signage/POS as directed

* Completes Floorset Photo Recap with 24 hours of Floorset completion and submits to corporate

* Proactively initiates and executes strategic sell-down strategies

* Educates associates on product assortment and knowledge

* Models Shelbys service and selling model

* Educates and coaches service and selling behaviors, inclusive of sampling, upsell and add-ons

* Models and enforces dresscode as directed by Corporate

* Proactively partners and collaborates with the local Property Management team on opportunities to integrate into property-level events and activations

**Capability**

* Meets/exceeds weekly, quarterly and annual sales plans

* Compile weekly insights as directed by Corporate and shares on Weekly Sales Call

* Conducts weekly inventory and submits to Corporate as directed

* Conducts inventory exercises as directed

* Conducts monthly liability reports and submits to Corporate as directed

* Effectively facilitates new product to the sales floor and densifies floor through daily product replenishment based on sell-through

* Executes all daily opening and closing checklists as directed

* Maintains exceptional cleanliness and safety standards

* Executes sanitation practices in accordance to State/County health regulations

* Maintains cashwrap organization and ensures POS accuracy

* Proactively troubleshoots register systems and execution.

* Orders supplies, inclusive of packaging, as needed

* Deposits daily cash

* Writes effective schedules to meet the needs of the business and communicates schedule to associates

* Flexes labor as necessary based on sales performance / trends

* Receives shipments daily and records inventory, receipt reconciliation

* Maintains stockroom organization

**Expectations**

* Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) to meet the demands of the business

**Qualifications, Education and Experience**

* Minimum High School Diploma / GED / Two-Year College

* Minimum of 5 years experience managing 5-8 associates

* Retail Management Experience Preferred, Sales Volume of approx. $500K

* Hospitality Industry / Food and Beverage Retail Preferred

* Experience executing corporate directed floorsets

* Knowledge of POS Systems and Applications

* Inventory Management / SKU-intensive Experience

* Serv-Safe Certified a plus
