Washington Penn is Hiring a Scheduling & Inventory Control Manager Near Winchester, KY

Summary

The Scheduling & Inventory Manager is responsible for scheduling all customer orders for the factory and the raw material and finished goods inventory out of the factory to satisfy customer demand.

Responsibility for Safety, Health & Environmental

  • Individual is expected to perform job duties safely and in compliance with documentation outlined in the Safety, Health & Environmental system.
  • Actively participate in the Lafayette safety processes and emulates the Audia Safety Way in all aspects.

Responsibility for Quality

  • Individual is expected to perform job duties in compliance with defined management system requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scheduling all orders as determined by customer releases, stocking agreements, order changes, etc.
  • Responsible for managing inventory, including raw materials, and finished goods, warehouse space, silo availability, rail car traffic, dead inventory, non-conforming product, etc.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all materials, material safety requirements, packaging requirements, lead times, etc.
  • Reports any inventory concerns to the Plant Manager.
  • Coordinates with Production to optimize material usage and with Logistics to handle raw and finished goods deliveries.
  • Track raw materials for product runs and oversees the computerized inventory system.
  • Advises and works with the Purchasing Department when ordering production materials.
  • Direct reports may include additional schedulers, inventory control, blenders and material handlers.
  • Works closely with Corporate Scheduler to ensure alignment between corporate and other factories.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by the Plant Manager.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, with at least 5 – 7 years of production background preferred. Working knowledge of material flow, inventory, and warehousing. Working knowledge of computerized inventory system.
  • Skilled in the use of basic computer software, including, graphics, spreadsheets and internal systems
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and time-management skills
