Washington Pediatric Dentistry is Hiring a Dental Front Desk Receptionist Near Silver Spring, MD

Washington Pediatric Dentistry is a pediatric dental office situated in Downtown Silver Spring. We are looking for team members to join our practice. Our office is committed to providing quality dental care in a warm, kid-friendly environment. We are interested in candidates that share the same commitment and enthusiasm in working with children and families on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone to start as a full-time front desk receptionist. This role is critical to our relationship with patients and their families and requires excellent service, keen attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to confidentiality in our healthcare setting. Front desk receptionist responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering office calls for patient and non-patient needs
  • Warm greetings for office guests, carrying a positive and friendly attitude at all times
  • Efficiently scheduling patient appointments and confirming scheduled appointments
  • Being knowledgeable of insurance plans and conveying understanding to patients and other team members
  • Filing claims electronically in a timely manner and agreed upon with practice management
  • Processing invoices and patient payments, managing patient open invoices for prompt payment of billed charges, and closing daily transactions

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dental office receptionist
  • Reliable transportation to and from work, enabling team member to be punctual each day
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Eager to learn and support practice development
  • Experience with insurance billing and filing claims for dental patients. Must know how to verify insurance, calculate copays, and create treatment plans.
  • Must be reliable, well spoken, and presentable
  • Must have a high school diploma

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience with Dentrix patient management software
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
