MARKETING STATEMENT
The Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Assessment Specialist in the Infrastructure, Facilities Department. The Assessment Specialist conducts field assessments of WMATA facilities such as bus, rail, and ancillary facilities, and utilizes analysis on work orders, facility failures, condition, energy usage and other matrices to ensure facilities and equipment are in a state of good repair. The Assessment Specialist provides assessment reports and data analysis, and coordinates work with contractors and/or internal technical support staff. This position will require a valid driver’s license and will require conducting field visits to Metro facilities including accessing mechanical equipment located on rooftops, tunnels, or other locations.

SUMMARY
The Facility Assessment Specialist is assigned to a group of facilities (non-revenue or revenue) on behalf of the Facilitiesdepartment andconducts on-site facility condition assessments (FCAs) and enters the data into the Computerized Maintenance Management Software, CMMS (i.e., Maximo). The incumbent reviews historical work order data & asset failures using the CMMS and energy usage data and other metrics using the Enterprise Energy Monitoring System (EEMS) to ensure facilities and equipment are in a state of good repair (SGR). The incumbent collaborates regularly, with maintenance offices, contractors, and representatives from other disciplines within the Authority in support of the facilities, programs, or projects.
