FULL TIME AND PART TIME DIPLOMATIC SECURITY OFFICERS NEEDED

Compensation: Starting at 18.00$ per hour; DOE

We are seeking reliable and experienced Diplomatic Security Officers in Washington, DC for our Diplomatic locations. Selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned premises, do security checks, search visitors, operate with metal detectors as well as identify risks to staff and visitors.

Full Time and Part Time positions are available starting in April. Pay rate for these positions are 18.00$-20.00$ per hour, depending on experience.

Candidates that are applying for the position, MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. This is an absolute requirement. Applicants who can’t work weekends and holidays will not be considered and need not apply.

Responsibilities:

Greet patrons.

Be able to stand or sit for 8-12 hours.

Security check.

Threat detection.

Perimeter patrols - foot patrols.

Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.

Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.

Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.

Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.

Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields.

Familiarity with security equipment.

Ability to handle physical workload.

Strong attention to details.

Active Unarmed/Armed Virginia Security License (DCJS).

Active S/O License.

Active SPO License.

Reliably commute to job location.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Security: 3 years (Required)
• Law enforcement: 2 years (Preferred)
• Military: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• DCJS License (Required)
• S/O License (Required)
• SPO License (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
