Maintenance Crewman

AT THE

Washington County Legacy Park

Full Time with Benefits

$20.98 hourly

Performs a variety of skilled and regular maintenance duties and event set up/take down as needed for the day-to-day operations of the Legacy Park facilities including event venues, arenas, stalls, and landscaping.

Works primarily at Legacy Park performing various maintenance functions, performs building and grounds maintenance; operates light and heavy equipment; assists with landscaping operations related to planting and grooming of lawns, planting beds, trees, shrubbery; participates in installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems, timers, etc.; participates in the application of fertilizers and pesticides; operates ATV with mounted spraying equipment to perform weed control spraying.

Ensures timely maintenance, preparation and grooming of arena(s) in anticipation of various scheduled events; meets specifications for various events, i.e., team roping, barrel racing, rodeo, sorting, dog shows, demolition derby, monster truck, circus, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from high school;

AND

• Experience with operation of medium and heavy equipment, carpentry, plumbing, painting and other related fields, preference given for experience in recreation facility maintenance;

OR

• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a valid Utah Drivers license.
• Must be available for 24 hour emergency call out.
• Schedule requires regular weekend and evening work and some holidays
