Washington County's Information Technology Services (ITS) Division is looking for an
Information Technology Project Manager to join an amazing team of professionals! This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a department that strongly favors a supportive team approach and provides you the ability to apply your technical skills by leading and organizing technical projects related to information and communication technologies utilized for County business.
As an IT Project Manager, you will organize and ensure the successful completion of projects in accordance with established methodology and standards set out by the IT Project Management Office. The specific responsibilities of this position may include leading a variety of technical project implementations, leveraging technical experience to organize project activities, and being a resource for a broad range of project questions, both technical and functional.
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of practical IT project management experience. In addition, the ability to achieve results in creative ways with strong relationship-building skills and a strategic mindset. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Oregon Project Management Associate (OPMA) Certificate is preferred.

- Associate's Degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field AND four (4) years of practical experience in management of complex information technology projects; OR
- Six (6) years of practical experience in management of complex information technology projects.
Additional Licenses, Certificates, Physical Abilities and Specialty Requirements: - Must have the ability to arrange for timely transportation in order to attend appointments and meetings at locations throughout the State of Oregon.
- May be required to successfully pass an extensive criminal background and personal history check.
Preferred Qualifications: - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
- Oregon Project Management Associate (OPMA) Certificate is preferred.
