General Job Description

Youth Specialists supervise and record all daily youth activity, keep youth on schedule, and hold youth accountable for their actions through the day. Youth Specialists perform job duties under the general supervision of Case Managers. Activities to monitor track include hygiene, school, community service, chores, and groups. Midnight shift are responsible for bedroom checks as well as other assignments.

This position is full time and starts at $17.00/ hour. We are a 24/7 facility. Youth Specialists will need to be willing to work any shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 2-year college degree (prefer criminal justice or social services)

· Ability to pass a criminal background check

· Valid driver’s license

· Clean driving record

· Insurance

· 80 hours paid vacation annual after first year

Specific Job Duties include (but not limited to);

· Facilitate groups

· Work with other staff to ensure youth safety at all times

· Transport youth in facility vehicles as needed

· Utilize positive reinforcements to support behavioral objectives

· Report maintenance issues to assure that the facility is properly maintained in order to maintain high standards of health and safety.
