SummaryThe Imaging technologist shall produce clinical diagnostic x-ray images as prescribed by physicians and perform routine diagnostic procedures accordingly, while following all standards and safety.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include But Are Not Limited To The Following)
- Produce high quality x-ray and CT images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist.
- Provide proper radiation protection measures.
- Working with the EMR’s to generate and complete exam orders.
- Perform, record, and analyze QC data in order to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
- Completion of a JRCERT approved radiological training program or equivalent, required
- Current registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required
- R.T.
- C.T., or willingness to obtain C.T. accreditation
- Current Iowa Radiologic Technologist Permit to Practice, required
- BLS required, or obtain within 6 months of hire
- Ability to maintain safe and effective patient care.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with prevalent professional demeanor.
- Ability to use active listening skills to interpret the needs of the patient.
- Ability to mentor, train, motivates, direct and empowers team.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility in schedule. Willing to adjust hours, as needed. Willing to cover other shifts
- Highly motivated.
- Ability to work in fast paced, rapidly changing, and regulated environment. Able to triage situations to complete tasks.
