Washington Commanders is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near College Park, VA

The RoleThe Washington Commanders are hiring a Staff Accountant responsible for performing varied accounting functions. Functions include, but are not limited to league reporting, general ledger account reconciliations, recording entries in the financial system, and performing ad-hoc accounting projects as requested by management.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily cash reports with supporting documentation.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple operating accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly financial statement preparation.
  • Assist with preparation of game reports.
  • Reconcile data between multiple software platforms including ticketing system (SeatGeek), sponsorship system (Kore) and accounting software (MS Dynamics)
  • Reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in annual league and financial audits.
  • Support in continuously improving the Company’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare various schedules and spreadsheets as requested by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is a plus
  • Knowledge of Concur is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage business relationships in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong professional ethics and sensitivity in dealing with confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
