Position Description:

We are a fast-growing nationwide accounting firm seeking experienced Staff Accountants. The right candidate should be detailed oriented, have a strong work ethic, and strong technical skills. This position would be responsible for providing service to multiple companies operating in different types of industries. This role may also include mentoring other Staff Accountants.

Experience working with a team in a modern office is required. Must be tech-savvy and willing to invest time and energy into cultivating the best team, creating the best talent, developing the best accounting processes, and providing the best service to our clients.

This is a remote position so you will have a high level of autonomy to crush your goals. We have very clear expectations so you will know what is expected at all times.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Entering daily transactions for all of our clients using a number of software platforms
  • Responding to requests from clients on general accounting needs (i.e. running reports, responding to requests, etc.)
  • Prepare reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, general ledger accounts, etc.)
  • Perform self-review to ensure that accounting is accurate
  • Prepare financial statements and provide an overview to the client
  • Establish, document, and evaluate internal processes for the best client experience.
  • Manage prospective and current client correspondence
  • Assist in building our brand, our firm and our client base through referrals, social media, lead generation, etc.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online
  • Comfortable using software. Willing to learn new software as required by the position
  • Moderate exercise of judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to select the most appropriate course of action.
  • Understands requirements for documentation in work papers, disclosures, and memos; demonstrated ability to document a broad range of technical issues
  • Demonstrated successful use of technology to improve process efficiency
  • Strong experience in Excel/GSuite
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment as needed
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Reliable with prior bookkeeping experience required
  • Ability to interact with clients
