Day to day as a Billing Technician FT-Westpark

As a Full Time Billing Technician at Wasatch Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating patient financial charts to ensure accurate billing statements. Your role will involve posting changes to the computer system, preparing and submitting claims to third-party payers, such as Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance companies. You will review claims for accuracy, verify diagnoses, and process manual claims when necessary. Additionally, you will handle data entry for non-clinical client financial responsibilities, including rent, pharmacy co-payments, and mental health court fees.

Your attention to detail and ability to conduct account research will be key in responding to client and third-party requests for information, resolving liability issues, and updating client records to ensure program eligibility and billing accuracy.

What we're looking for in a Billing Technician FT-Westpark

To excel as a Full Time Billing Technician at Wasatch Behavioral Health, candidates should possess a minimum of one year of post-high school training in computer operation and data entry. Additionally, two years of experience in clerical, secretarial, billing, or accounting roles are required.
