The Warwick Community School and District, nestled in the scenic woodlands of Western Massachusetts, seeks a short term, flexible and very part-time person to handle our project to get our new all-electric Kia EV-9 lettered, equipped and registered as a small “7D” school transport vehicle. The work can be scheduled as needed through the summer.Position pay is $20 per hour. Interested candidates should email Jess Marshall, Director of Operations, at jmarshall@warwick-k12.us. This position will remain posted until filled. Job Duties include:Review the vehicle documentation and become familiar with vehicle operation including options to charge it. Compile a list of key information needed to train future drivers.Schedule and bring the vehicle to local and Eastern Massachusetts locations for installation of lettering and needed equipment.Work with school staff to schedule appointment(s) needed to acquire a Massachusetts “7D” school transport registration with the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Attend related meetings on-site at the Warwick Community School.Train potential new drivers on vehicle operation and charging.Requirements:Excellent driving record and current driver’s license.Ability to adapt to new technology.Have knowledge and/or interest in learning about EV vehicles.
