Medical Billing

Warthan Dermatology Mohs Surgery Center is a seeking to hire a billing specialist for our thriving practice. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to join our team. This position will be responsible for billing insurance companies for services rendered by our providers, working insurance claims and any denials. Previous experience with credentialing new providers is a plus! We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, has a strong work ethic, and is able to work in a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review medical records and insurance claims for eligibility.
• Review charges for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and submit claims for payment.
• Follow up on denied claims to ensure they are not denied due to missing information.
• Follow up on payments that have not been received on time.
• Review pre-authorization requirements and prepare them for submission to the insurance company.
• Answer phone calls from billing customers regarding payment status and other billing related questions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Credentialing new providers with insurance companies and following up on the credentialing process.

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in medical billing preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
