Role Summary:

The Vice President of Risk Management reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), and is an impactful role, responsible to plan, direct, coordinate and oversee safety activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

Hybrid – Primarily remote with occasional in-person office presence required/ various meetings in local Dallas area. Periodic travel to regional Warrior locations.

Responsibilities:

• Drive collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions

• Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the executive leadership team

• Deploy data and research to drive cross-business corporate prioritization

• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals

• Form and lead internal teams, providing training and mentorship as needed

• Directly and indirectly manage staff with the goal of enhancing professional development and personal growth

• Seeks ways to optimize risks in the organization as a competitive business advantage

• Set expectations/goals and execute to meet or exceed

• Develop and implement succession planning for organization

• Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement culture

• Ensure “right person/right seat” throughout the organization

• Safety P&L ownership

• Establish all Safety goals and metrics and action accordingly

• Execute employee performance management program

• Actively manage DOT activity and compliance

• Manage relationships with key clients

• Oversee Workers Comp processes, claims and initiatives

• Lead Recruiting and Human Resources teams

Skills:

• Acknowledge all customer requests on same day as received

• Respond completely to all customer requests within next business day

• Respond to all Warrior leaders with timely responses and results

• Acute attention to detail in carrying out daily duties

• Strong initiative and a sense of urgency

• Proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field

• MBA or other graduate-level degree preferred

• Knowledge of industry platforms is preferred i.e. Motive, Omnitracs, Drivewyze, Infinit-I

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading high-performing teams
