The Automotive Body Technician is responsible for making repairs to all assigned vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition in accordance with industry standards.
Automotive Body Technicians Responsibilities and Duties:
Disassemble vehicles and related parts
Body work in accordance with the repair plan
Reassemble vehicles once all repairs are complete
Communicate status clearly to shop manager
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
Follow all company safety procedures
High production capabilities
Detail-oriented
Repair or replace mechanical parts
Perform structural repairs and/or replacement repairs
Perform different types of sheet metal welding and metal finishing
Re-assemble painted vehicle and painted parts
Automotive Body Technicians Qualifications and Skills:
Positive team-player attitude with a desire to learn and succeed in the industry
High-school diploma (or equivalent) preferred
Must be able to work independently without close supervision, and be flexible/adaptable to constant change
Must have own tools
Keep personal work area organized and clean
