Warren County Health Department is Hiring a Public Health Nurse Near Monmouth, IL

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting community health and well-being through education, data collection, and public health initiatives.

Duties:

- Educate individuals and communities on health promotion and disease prevention strategies
- Conduct health assessments and provide interventions to address health needs
- Collaborate with social workers, addiction counselors, and other healthcare professionals to support holistic care
- Collect and analyze health data to identify trends and develop targeted interventions
- Advocate for public health policies that improve community well-being
- Provide direct services to individuals, families, and special groups in clinic, home and community environments, utilizing nursing practice, theories, and principles

Experience:
- Proven experience in public health nursing or a related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems
- Strong communication skills for public speaking engagements and patient education sessions

Skills:
- Ability to educate individuals on health-related topics
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis for public health initiatives
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices
- Experience in nursing, particularly in a community or public health setting
