Warped Wing Brewing Company is a fun, fast-paced, growing brewery headquartered in the heart of Dayton, OH. We are looking for a self-directed, hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our team as our Pitmaster. Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work hard and have fun.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing and smoking all food in accordance with company standards
• Calculate the daily amount of products needed on prep sheet for all smoked products.
• Accurately maintain proper temperature and wood amount on smoker
• Pull products at the appropriate time and temperature.
• Work with managers to determine proper amount of meat on orders (Taproom and special event orders)
• Balancing high volume with high quality
• Coordinate and execute the cooking schedule of all smoked products.
• Slice, pull, and chop cooked products.
• Collaborate with team on daily, weekly, and seasonal specials.
• Clean and maintain smokers and smoking equipment.
• Assist day crew as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant/food/hospitality industry experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work on foot and move for entirety of shift.
• Highly motivated to learn and follow instruction.
• Ability to work in close quarters and to keep pace during high volume shifts.
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
• Strong communication skills.
• Weekend availability is required; Flexibility to work unconventional hours/nights and weekends.
• Self-motivation, high energy attitude, and sense of urgency.
• Weekend availability required.
