We are searching for someone with a background in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine to join our team. The Bilingual Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative duties as well as taking vitals and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in a leadership role and will manage our current MA team. They will also have at least four years of experience in a professional medical setting, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a larger team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the MA team
• Demonstrate proper infection control measures
• Communicate well with patients and other caretakers - and be able to explain the purpose of medications to patients/caretakers
• Use good judgment when dealing with patients, visitors, families, and co-workers
• Room patients, check vitals, assist with procedures
• Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Organize and perform patient care services that support the physician’s practice
• Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
• Collect patient data in person and by phone
• Document patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
• Administer medications specifically directed by the physician
• Complete and accurate message taking
• Route messages to the appropriate area for direction
• Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications
• Set up of cases in Athena plus basic registration and updating of demographics

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
