Ware Malcomb has an exciting opportunity in our Atlanta office for a Senior Project Manager on our Retail Architecture team.
Senior Project Managers are responsible for the management of entire projects, from start to finish including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation and construction services. This role is responsible for leading consultants, internal resources, overseeing the development of contract documents, adhering to budgets, facilitating contracts, construction site representation, and are a primary client contact throughout the life of a project.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the entire project(s), start to finish, you are the project(s) leader.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate each of the phases of the project (Typical; Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Document and Construction services).
• Preparation of project schedules.
• Utilize the company's resource groups for design, preparation of design and construction documents.
• Provide construction services (Site visits, review shop drawings, etc.).
• Be the key contact with the client, and their consultants and representatives.
• Responsible for local, county, state and federal project code searches and analysis for each project.
• Represent WM at jurisdiction public design review or development approval meetings and make project presentations when required.
• Assemble consultant team for the project (Identify scope of work, collect fees, select consultants and facilitate contracts).
• Work with the Ware Malcomb consultants, coordinate all of the various trades to achieve a complete, coordinated set of contract documents and specifications which will be used for building permits and construction.
• Be responsible for the financial success of all responsible projects.
• Prepare and update Work Plans, and monthly review and comment on project budget reports, invoices and pre-bills.
• Assist the Director/Principal with marketing to existing and new clients for repeat or new work.
• Be a technical resource (Codes and construction) to other Ware Malcomb PM/PAs and support staff.
• Communicate with clients, brokers, contractors, consultants, and Ware Malcomb employees.

Senior Project Manager Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in the field of Architecture
• Experience managing big box retail or commercial projects
• Retail Account Management experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• AutoCAD and Revit skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma
• Thorough knowledge of building codes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents
