Wanco Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Manager in our Arvada, CO production facility.

Essential Functions:

The Quality Manager is responsible for providing results-driven leadership to the Quality Management System. Key areas of accountability include planning, budgeting, resource management, scheduling, training, best practices, quality, and continuous improvement of responsible areas. This position is also responsible for finalizing deployment of and acting as the management representative for ISO 9001:2015 QMS.

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of current ISO 9001 QMS and certification process (currently 80% complete).
  • Conduct or manage internal audits of processes and systems against the standard to determine their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Train employees on the requirements and principles of ISO 9001 to ensure compliance throughout the organization.
  • Manage all ISO certification audits and responses.
  • Manage CAPA, supplier notification, and customer complaint process.
  • Quality data management and reporting.
  • Department KPIs.
  • First Article Inspection program.
  • Defining and managing annual key initiatives.
  • Communication with customers on open or pending action items.
  • Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance, counsel, record, and discipline all supervised employees.
  • Hire, manage, and terminate supervised employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • An applicable Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3 or more years' experience working as a Quality Manager, in a manufacturing environment, who understands and adheres to a professional standard.
  • ISO 9001 auditing certification and or experience.
  • ISO 9001 compliant technical writing (writing compliant procedures) experience.
  • Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Strong organizational skills are a must.

Physical Requirements:

· Mobility to work in an office and factory setting including the use of standard office equipment, including a computer.

· Some travel may be required.

· Comfortable working directly in a manufacturing facility and adhering to PPE requirements.

Reporting: This position has direct reports and reports to operations management.

Salary Range: $86,000 - $110,000 per year based on qualifications.
