Waltonen Engineering is Hiring a Laser Tracker Operator Near Troy, MI

Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Laser Tracker Operator to join our team!
Responsibilities
  • Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
  • Ensure that manufactured and purchased parts conform to engineering specifications and drawings using a Laser Tracker or CMM
  • Mark up manufactured parts for finish machining operations as required by the manufacturing routing
  • Implement subassembly personnel with inspection data when adjustments are necessary to meet final accuracy requirements
  • Verify that subassemblies meet accuracy requirements specified by engineering specifications and drawings
  • Design inspection reports based on gathered data and process Defective Work Tickets
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a Laser Tracker (API/Verisurf)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, peers, and subordinates
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, with adaptability to fluctuating workloads
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating a CMM machine
  • Familiarity with fixtures
  • Quality experience is preferred
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, or defense is a plus
  • Knowledge of Taurus CMM
  • White Light Scanning experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with PC-DMIS, EZ-DMIS, or SPUD software
