ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This is an evening position. Hours are typically 12pm-7pm/ 1pm-7pm
1. Serves meal to residents at mealtimes.
2. Meets scheduled meal and snack times.
3. Sets tables with utensils, glasses, napkins and condiments.
4. Resets tables for next meal.
5. Prepares milk, juice, coffee, tea and water for residents at mealtimes.
6. Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and return to kitchen.
7. Scrapes, washes, and racks dishes either for dishwasher or manual cleaning. Dries and puts away dishes, glasses, trays, utensils, pots and pans (this includes inspecting for damage such as chips and cracks, de-staining dishes).
8. Operates kitchen equipment (dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave.
9. Provides feedback from tenants to the cook(s) regarding meals and food preferences.
10. Restocks dining room tables with condiments.
11. Cleans the dining room after meals.
12. Wears gloves or uses utensils to handle food.
13. Uses good hand washing techniques.
14. Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
15. Must maintain sanitation and safety standards which involve established procedures (e.g. food handling, appropriate cleaning agents, water temperature, and frequency).
16. Follows cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled weekly, daily, monthly and signs off when completed.
17. Follows Federal and State regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.
18. Moves deliveries of stock from storage to kitchen area and puts them away.
19. Attends in-service educational programs
20. Reports any unsafe or malfunction equipment, 21. Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
