Waltham Committee Inc is Hiring a Day Habilitation Specialist Near Waltham, MA
WCI is seeking to hire several Day Habilitation Specialists that will directly support Individuals with developmental/ intellectual disabilities served though the Day Habilitation program.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure and safeguard individuals' human dignity, rights.
- Implement Individual Service Plan (ISP) objectives.
- Document each persons progress towards ISP objectives.
- Assist individuals physically as necessary, including, but not limited to
- Regularity lift and/or transfer/move Individuals in and out wheelchairs, vehicles up from and down to a mat etc.
- Any lifting over 30 lbs requires assistance.
Job Requirements:
- At least one year's experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or health care setting is required.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid MA driver's license
- Ability to pass Safety-Care behavior management certification.
