Role Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining accurate product costing at the plant level, purchase price variance analysis, margin analysis. Develops cost estimates and provides cost/financial analyses for new products. Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures. Provides variance analysis, work order analysis and cycle counting guidance. Performs journal entry preparation/entry and balance sheet reconciliations as required for month-end closing. Assists in the maintenance of the general ledger, financial statement preparation and account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
· Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
· Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
· Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
· Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
· Assists with development of standard costing rates maintained in SAP.
· Monthly inventory analysis, valuation, reconciliations.
· Calculates transfer pricing for intercompany partners.
· Completion of numerous journal entries as required for month-end.
· Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
· Works to update standard costs, labor rates and OH rates for year end cost roll and budgeting.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Year-end physical inventory assistance
· All other duties as assigned, team player

· 4 – year degree in Accounting or equivalent education and work experience
· Prior knowledge in manufacturing / cost accounting
· Ability to work with a variety of diverse people and departments.
· Detailed oriented, organized, and proficient with SAP (or other similar ERP), Microsoft Word, Excel
