Walters & Wolf Interiors is currently looking to fill a Project Estimator position in Fremont, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate relationships with potential and existing customers, providing exceptional pre-construction services for doors, frames, and hardware projects.
  • Conduct thorough job site visits as needed to gain insights for precise project evaluation and bid preparation.
  • Review, detail, and understand project plans and specifications.
  • Utilize digital tools to create precise material takeoffs.
  • Obtain competitive quotes from vendors.
  • Assign costs to all project materials and labor ensuring competitive and accurate proposals.
  • Identify value-engineering alternatives on bid proposals.
  • Generate detailed and compelling proposals.
  • Proactively follow up with clients on submitted proposals, maintaining strong relationships for potential future collaborations.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings to discuss estimating agenda, material strategy, and upcoming bid opportunities.
  • Attend annual sales and operations meetings to align estimations with broader company goals.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge within the commercial construction industry.
  • Experience in Division 8 preferred.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and PDF takeoff software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
