Walters Marine Construction, Inc is Hiring an Estimator/Project Manager Near Ocean, NJ
Qualifications:
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Quantity take-off and cost estimating experience
- Proficiency in On-Screen Take-off, On Line plan rooms, HCSS, Job Cost Accounting Systems, and Microsoft Office a plus
- Detail oriented with a proven technical ability
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Perform electronic project searches and respond to “Invitations to Bid” from general contractors
- Perform quantity take-offs both electronically and manually to determine the amount of work to be performed
- Estimate the cost to perform the work
- Prepare proposals and related bid documents for presentation
- Follow up on proposals presented and negotiate the final price on projects
- Prepare post-bid documents and field operations packets on successful projects
- Handle material submissions on successful projects
- Place initial material orders and schedule the project with operations
- Handle change orders and closeout documents
- Assist the superintendent and foremen in the interpretation of plans and specifications
- Subcontractor procurement and management
