About the Role & Team
The Show Systems studio is where we produce, make, and build the magic. Our processes and tool sets take us from concept design or mock-ups all the way through to full-on production, assembly, and installation. Our procurement team plays a vital role in this process by ensuring that our production and engineering teams are able to efficiently work with external suppliers to source, purchase or produce components timely and within budget.
This position will report to the Illusion Production Manager Senior.
What You Will Do
  • Developing sourcing and procurement strategies across all products within the Studio, focusing on Audio-Animatronics
  • Build a strong and reliable vendor base by continuously sourcing new suppliers, building partnerships with key vendors, and seeking out innovative manufacturing techniques/processes for our components & assemblies
  • Work cross-functionally between engineering, production, scheduling, and project management teams to establish and implement procurement strategies for all of the projects supported the Studio.
  • Lead the development of vendor performance measurements, including tracking performance for both delivery and quality metrics to improve reliability of our vendor base
  • Engage in the early stages of product development to provide guidance and steer the feasibility, cost, and risk of designs from a procurement perspective
  • Serve as the point of contact to studio leadership for developing both financial and lead time estimates around procurement activities.
  • Apply previous performance data to standardize the estimating & scheduling processes at various stages of the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5 years of shown experience directly supporting procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and/or strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with developing high-level sourcing, procurement, and inventory strategies for diverse materials.
  • Able to lead vendor negotiations for long-term agreements and pricing strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate with individuals and leaders across multiple technical teams both within and outside the organization
  • Solid understanding of traditional and emerging manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to steer discussion and decision-making regarding sourcing and procurement of various mechanical and electrical components/assemblies
  • Basic familiarity with analysis techniques and tools used to compile and communicate data across teams (i.e. Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience leading all aspects of the procurement process, including vendor sourcing and selection, quoting, purchasing, and handling deliveries and logistics from outside vendors
  • Experience with establishing and implementing standards for vendor performance, including component quality and timely delivery, in order to maximize reliability of the supply chain base
  • Strong familiarity supporting the design and production of new products.
  • Provide perspective during the design process as it relates to availability, cost and/or risk in the procurement process
  • Experience supporting procurement/purchasing activities in the aerospace, automotive, or equivalent industries, with a focus on new products
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain disciplines

The hiring range for this position in California is $90,500 to $124,410 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
