Walsh Engineering Services is looking for an experienced designer/drafter for our Idaho Falls office. We are seeking a full-time employee with previous experience in design/drafting. Preferred software experience platforms include Inventor, and/or Revit. Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance. Pay dependent on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create or revise drawings that conform to national and company standards.
• Communicate regularly with engineers, architects, and customers through phone calls, in person conversation, emails, and project meetings.
• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements:

• Associates degree or above in design/drafting
• Minimum of 5 years designer/drafter experience
• Work independently and in coordination with engineer of record to adequately capture design aspects for construction and fabrication.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Adequate time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work proficiently using such programs as Inventor, and/or Revit.
• Understand and apply national standards, i.e. ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100
