Walker Methodist is recruiting for Float Caregivers. Walker Methodist is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide direct care to residents. Supportive care includes meeting the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of the residents.

Walker Methodist is a non-profit, Minnesota-owned provider of senior living and health care communities in the metropolitan Twin Cities. Services include skilled nursing care, post-acute care, memory loss care, adult day program, assisted living, housing with services, short-term rehabilitation, and the Walker Methodist Foundation. Walker Methodist has been serving seniors and their communities since 1945.

Salary Range: $17.93 - $23.83

Schedule: All Shifts Available!

Locations: Mora, Cambridge, Pine City, Rush City, Anoka, Minneapolis, Lakeville, West St. Paul, South Saint Paul and Edina.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with direct personal care activities including, bathing, shampoo/hair care, shaving, oral hygiene, foot and nail care.

• Medication assistance for AL 

• Assist residents with designated nutrition and hydration programs, including meal planning, preparation, specialized diets, oral fluid therapy, fluid restriction, intake and output records and food safety.
• Participate in activities and programs to enhance the social, recreational, psychosocial, spiritual and physical functioning of the residents in conjunction with Walker Methodist policies and Individualized Service Plans. 

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year experience working in a health care environment, private home, assisted living or long-term care required
• Strong resident-centered and customer service mind-set with the ability to be compassionate, responsible and comfortable working with individuals with various health issues and disabilities. Ability to utilize a computer for education and training, and documentation of resident information.
• Ability to travel to various Walker Methodist communities.
• Ability to foster and adherence to Walker Methodist’s mission and values
