Walk Leap Grow Early Learning Center is growing and we are in need of extra help in many of our classrooms! These are generally part time positions with lots of opportunity for extra hours if interested in substituting in our various classrooms. We are seeking experienced, fun, bright, loving, and energetic individuals with positive attitudes to educate and care for children in our infant and toddler classrooms. As a floater teacher, you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of the children in your care. Floater teachers are responsible for ensuring a clean, friendly, welcoming environment. You will assist with the implementation of curriculum, ensuring the safety and welfare of the children and staff. In addition, you will maintain effective communication with the children’s parents while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct. Great work environment and management support.
Key responsibilities include:
Safety and well-being of the children.
Develop and plan interactive daily lessons.
Provide a nurturing and learning-focused environment for children.
Manage classrooms as per company policies incorporating all center programs within a daily schedule.
Observe and evaluate children for progress.
Attend staff meetings, parent events and complete training classes as required by state regulations.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalentAssociate’s degree considered a plus
Knowledge of child growth and development
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties satisfactorily.
Must be able to lift minimum of 25 pounds.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Effective organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent judgment as well as problem solving/decision making abilities.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to the center.
Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by state and company regulations.
