LMC has a closed ICU and ICU team at night

MD would be responsible for all admitted med-surg hospitalist patients overnight, which includes but is not limited to the following:

• Responding to and managing any Rapid Responses or Codes. ICU team and ED physician will also attend codes. ICU team will take over care of patient.
• Assessing patients and developing appropriate plans as needed for any acute events of changes in patient status
• Coordinating with nursing staff and responding to questions/concerns as needed
• Providing appropriate hand-off/sign-out at the conclusion of their shift to the day team
• Determine patients that require transfer to tertiary hospital and contacting PAL line to facilitate
• Typically, no procedures needed, although ability is a plus. Availability of other specialties for procedures.
