Wake Forest Baptist Health is Hiring a Physician-Pediatrics Kernersville Sports Complex Near Kernersville, NC

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Pediatrics – Kernersville Sports Complex located in Kernersville, N.C., seeks a Pediatrician to join our learning organization, leading the way in accountable care and physician work/life balance. This is position is 29 hours per week.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Pediatrics - Kernersville Sports Complex, a thriving practice, known for going the extra mile for their patients, serves a large stable population. This team-oriented office staffs one physician and four APPs, a well-trained clinical and administrative staff. They are recruiting due to growth. This is a great opportunity for a Pediatrician who wants a comprehensive outpatient Pediatric practice seeing newborns to age 22, an ample volume of well-child checks, sick visits, and various procedures.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Well and sick child care
  • School and sports physicals
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pediatric conditions
  • Developmental pediatrics/behavioral pediatrics
  • Complementary alternative medicine
  • Asthma and allergy management
  • Immunizations
  • Specialist and community resource referrals

    HOURS OF OPERATION:

    • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
    • Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
    • Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

      JOB SUMMARY:

      Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary, the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment.

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

      • M.D./D.O. from an accredited medical school.
      • Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.
      • Successful record of clinical and service excellence.

        LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

        • Current M.D. or D.O. license from the State of North Carolina or eligible.
        • Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency.
        • Certification in BCLS, ACLS required if stress tests performed or as required by specialty.
        • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.
