CNC Programs, Labor Routings and Standard Work documentation for new or existing parts to achieve maximum utilization and efficiency of human, material, and machine assets. Considers the safety of personnel, equipment, machinery and the facility. Trouble shoots and solves quality or production problems to improve On Time Delivery, Efficiency and Profits. Work assignments are of moderate variety and complexity with access to technical guidance of more experienced staff and direct supervision.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Develop Layout's, Set-Up methodology and CNC programs for machine tools.Use knowledge of machine operations to develop code to control CNC machine operation.Provide process plans and cycle times for cost estimates for quoting new work.Provide quotes for tooling and fixtures for new work.Reviewing drawings and routings for manufacturability - communicates to Engineering when changes are neededProvide technical assistance to Sales in communicating information to customers and to enable company to win new work.Work with QA Lead to develop quality plans for part manufacturing.Utilize SPC to monitor key features and process capabilities.Take positive corrective action based on DMR, SPC charts or information provided to improve product quality and process reliability.Provide ideas for manufacturing improvements to reduce costs and improve quality.Recommend sourcing of supplies, service, tools and equipment from outside vendors.Provide work training and direction to others.Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations, and departmental housekeeping standards.Performs time/motion studies and makes recommendations for waste reduction and efficiency improvements in production processSupports in-process inspection of machined productsSkills/Abilities:Programming on the job using G&M codes and MasterCAM, or comparable software (reading, editing AND writing)Setting up and operating CNC Horizontal and Vertical Mills, 3-axis, y-axis. (4-axis and 5-axis preferred but not required) as well as CNC Lathes.CAM/CAD programsInterpreting GD&T of blueprint specifications.Knowledge of setting up and running a cell environment.Strong working knowledge of tool offsets, speeds and feeds for cutting various materialsStrong programming, problem solving, analytical, mathematical, mechanical and communication skills.Leadership and organizational skills to meet daily demands for workflow.Estimate time and materials for machine jobs; strong time management skills.Proficient with Microsoft ExcelMechanically inclined and metallurgy knowledge; knowledge of geometry and Basic Trig.Ability to lift 50 lbs safely, maneuver material pallet jack throughout shop and use grinders.Must be able to stand for extended periods of time at the machines.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering5 years of progressive work experience within a CNC DepartmentWagner is an equal opportunity employer and believes in equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.
