**Description**

Wagner Equipment Co., the Caterpillar dealer for Colorado, New Mexico and far west Texas, is seeking applications for a Transportation Clerk in Aurora, CO.

The Transportation Clerk provides customer service to internal and external customers, provides administrative support to the Transportation Manager and others within the Transportation Department, and conducts backup/relief dispatching as assigned in a manner that reflects the companys vision of working as One Professional Team.

**Essential Functions:**

* Provides backup transportation dispatching and billing as required

* Conducts and prepares monthly vehicle mileage report for manager approval

* Prepares monthly truck engine idle time report for manager approval

* Processes haul for hire quotes and billings

* Monitors electronic in cab devices daily to ensure all units communicating properly

* Assists drivers in obtaining oversize and overweight permits from city, county, and state agencies

* Works with vendors & drivers to monitor, install, repair, and conduct training on in cab electronic devices

* Enters drivers work hours into electronic labor collection system as required

* Processes month end IFTA reports as assigned

* Processes vendor invoices as required

* Acts as a liaison with accounting department for Syncada (Power Track)

* Works with transportation vendors to complete and process invoicing through Syncada

* Works with Transportation Coordinators to receive purchase orders

* Reconciles and pays freight bills, pilot car bills, and permit invoices and enters information into DSI

* Purchases contact for TRN department and issuance of purchase orders through the Wynne system

* Works with Transportation Coordinators to receive purchase orders

* Opens and issues Wynne work orders for transportation fleet vehicle service & tires

* Provides driver & vehicle service shuttling

* Conducts telemarketing services for new transportation vendors and customers

* Prepares and distributes transportation mailings as directed

* Processes and maintains department office supplies

* Acts as departmental contact for office machine ordering, maintenance, etc.

* Maintains transport vehicle fleet files including registration & licensing

* Maintains log of transport vehicle electronic in cab devices

* Maintains log of established and targeted trucking vendors

* Assists customers with any questions pertaining to transportation invoices

* Answers Transportation Department main telephone line, and meets and responds to the needs and requests of customers in a professional and timely manner

* Assists with presentations and meeting materials for safety, EOS, and truck meetings

* Responds to inquiries in the transport area and accessing DSI to answer billing and scheduling inquiries from customers

* Other duties as assigned by manager

**Required Education and Experience:**

* High School Diploma or GED

* Previous work in transportation operations

* 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience

* 1-3 years mechanical knowledge and experience

**Additional Eligibility Requirements:**

* CDL preferred, but not required

* Must pass all required pre-employment screenings which may include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings

**Pay Range:** $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

Pay rate is dependent on education and experience.
