We are seeking a skilled AV Junior Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining audio-visual equipment for various applications. The AV Junior Field Engineer will work closely with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure successful implementation of AV solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install audio-visual equipment, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and control systems, according to specifications and project requirements.
  • Run and terminate cables for audio, video, and control signals, ensuring proper connections and cable management.
  • Configure audio and video systems, including signal routing, audio processing, and video scaling, to meet client needs.
  • Test installed systems thoroughly to ensure functionality and performance and troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.
  • Create detailed documentation of installed systems, including wiring diagrams, equipment lists, and configuration settings.
  • Interact with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical recommendations, and offer training on how to operate AV systems effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standards during installation activities to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep up to date with the latest audio-visual technologies, industry trends, and best practices through training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in audio-visual systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as an AV Junior Field Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of audio-visual equipment and systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to run and terminate various types of cables, including HDMI, VGA, XLR, and Ethernet.
  • Experience configuring audio processors, video switchers, and control systems such as Crestron or Extron.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve technical issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Certification in audio-visual technology or related field (e.g., AVIXA CTS, Infocomm CTS-I).
  • Experience working with commercial AV integration projects in corporate, education, or entertainment settings.
  • Familiarity with audio-visual control protocols such as TCP/IP, RS-232, and IR.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing systems and streaming technologies.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to travel 75%
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
