Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate person to fill a part-time Animal Care Specialist/Veterinary Receptionist position on our exceptional Veterinary Team. As a Veterinary Receptionist/Animal Care Specialist team member, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries or concerns
- Check-in patients, obtain necessary information, and update patient records

- Manage hospitalized and boarding pets with proper handling.

- Feed/Water and walk pets

- Maintain clean environment within boarding and throughout the clinic, including janitorial duties and laundry.
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
- Process payments and handle financial transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception/animal care area

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is a plus
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and medications is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with veterinary software systems
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
