Role Summary: The Trip Optimizer Senior Test Manager will be responsible for managing the work deliverables of the Trip Optimizer Test team, managing technical leads and test engineers for both subsystems as well as systems test. The Test Manager must concurrently manage multiple business critical projects on time and on budget in their delivery. The Test Manager will mentor and coach team members to enhance their expertise. Essential Responsibilities: Lead within his/her own product with a team comprised of individual contributors and/or contractors Lead the V&V Strategy and Test Automation Roadmap development for Trip Optimizer solutions Demonstrate deeper expertise in engineering methodologies and tools, driving best practices for a robust product delivery Demonstrate an ability to communicate the technical knowledge through project management and contributions to product strategy Formulating near term and longer-term test automation strategies with clear focus on improving test delivery cycles and quality of TO product line Evaluate tools and solutions that conforms to the automation test requirement and strategy Resource hiring, performance appraisal and coaching for exceptional performance. Lead a team of talented QA automation engineers and be responsible for driving quality of TO product. Effectively track and communicate incremental progress in improving quality to all stakeholders, with clear measurement metrics e.g coverage, performance, effectiveness etc. Collaborate with product and commercial teams to guide the team on scope Challenge the status-quo, keep high standards for quality and customer satisfaction Represent engineering team on different forums and in leadership updates Foster a culture builds on organizational values Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software testing principles, automation tools and validation areas. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a manager driving strategy and execution of automation testing. Experience working with embedded technologies Proven track record of technical contribution through others Ability to influence technical decisions Strong communication skills including the ability to present to customers and Wabtec Executives in a clear and concise manner Expertise in engineering methodologies and tools Previous experience leading teams of 10 or more, either in a direct or matrixed environment #LI-SS1 Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
