The Contracts Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the contract administration process, performing contract and subcontract administration functions focused on the proposal and customer contracting phases within the inquiry to order process (ITO) for the Wabtec Digital & Electronics product lines in North America and globally, including maintaining and updating the contract database and monitoring contractual requirements to assure compliance. In the role of Contracts Manager you will: Essential Responsibilities: Review and redline of contract terms and conditions, statements of work, software license agreements, etc. Review of Proposals and RFPs, RFQs, RFIs. Review existing contracts; create and maintain various internal contract administration compliance documents. Ensure the company's contracts are in accordance with company requirements. Ensure project management teams are aware of contract terms and compliance requirements. Address questions from management regarding executed contracts Meet contracting deadlines, keep track of renewal schedules Lead the review and preparation of customer contracts, confidentiality agreements, subcontracts, and contract summaries. Attend proposal/project meetings to proactively identify areas of contract/commercial risk or significant risk areas. Ensure commercial/contractual items are identified and communicated according to Company policies and procedures Independently analyze situations and data to determine best course of action and make positive and active contributions, utilizing independent thinking to develop strategies and objectives to assist the organization in achieving its key financial and growth goals Experience with construction contracts preferred. Draft project letters, change orders, and internal memorandum Maintain DBE compliance, claims, project logs and contract database Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree 4 years’ experience working with commercial contracts for a corporation or business entity. Knowledgeable in negotiating contracts, contract management best practices, and commercial contract law. Ability to work under pressure with a keen eye for detail. Able to create and reset priorities as the need arises, identify, and raise issues before they become critical. Able to work successfully in a team environment. Demonstrates effective time management skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks with management guidance and oversight. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrates a positive and flexible attitude toward new and/or unconventional work assignments. System competencies include Microsoft Office suite. Desired Characteristics: Contract drafting, reviewing and administration Knowledge of railroad industry, helpful Passion for winning. Experience managing complex contracts with multi-functional interactions. Minimum of 2 years of experience within the Transportation Industry. Experience with various insurance coverages, risks, and requirements. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple individual and team responsibilities for multiple complex contracts. Capability to communicate with high-level management. Leading in a complex, matrixed environment with experience managing multiple deadlines. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to simplify complex scenarios to logical strategies/positions. Eligibility Requirements: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
