As a Sr. Sourcing Specialist, you will provide global procurement support to all Wabash sites and work closely with the Global Category Manager for an assigned category. As a Sr. Sourcing Specialist, you will support the process of selecting and awarding suppliers for short- and long-term production projects that provide the most cost-effective supply chain solutions. Your responsibilities fall within the company’s dynamic Global Procurement team which features a fast-paced environment with fun, creative, and passionate people.

Your Responsibilities:

• Participate in the quotation process to provide market prices and /or estimates for raw materials, (make vs. buy) components, capital equipment, services, and MRO items.
• Monitors internal reports for new parts needing pricing and quickly work to obtain a competitive price from a reliable source.
• Work closely with the Global Category Manager and cross functionally to select, develop, and negotiate Purchasing Agreements for the supply of raw materials, components and/or services for existing products, new products and/or projects. Ensure the source selection is aligned with the category strategy and achieves cost reduction targets, world class quality & improved service.
• Drive improvements in supplier performance and other SCM KPI’s
• Manage inquiries issued by Supply Chain Management teams (facility specific) for the US market and respond within the requested timeline.
• Monitors the supply market through regular communications with the Buyers & Category Managers including supplier site visits and trade shows. (may require up to 10% travel).
• Send out Request for Quote inquiries and obtains all relevant information (drawings, specifications, work plans) internally from the technical departments and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate and build relationships internally and with suppliers to successfully influence and resolve issues regularly.
• Support Material Planning & Logistics to resolve delivery issues as needed
